Gado-gado usually served with sliced ​​lontong or can also be eaten with rice according to taste. Gado-gado is one of spicy peanut food preferred by Javanese besides rujak cingur, rujak sambal petis, ketoprak, chicken satay. Here is a recipe how to make gado-gado, see well.
Ingredients
  • Potato - 2 pieces
  • Carrots - 1 piece
  • Leaf lettuce - 8 sheets
  • Cucumber - 1 piece
  • Long beans - 100 grams
  • Sprouts - 100 grams
  • Col - 1 piece
  • Lontong - 1 piece
  • Tempe - 1 board
  • Tofu - 2 pieces
  • Peanut Sauce:
  • Santan, from 1/2 coconut - 700 ml
  • Peanut skin - 200 grams
  • Citrus leaves, torn - 4 sheets
  • Red sugar, finely sliced ​​- 50 grams
  • Sweet soy sauce - 2 tbsp
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Javanese Acid - 1 tsp
  • Salt - 2 tsp
  • Oil for sauteing - 2 tbsp
  • Subtle spice ingredients:
  • Curly red pepper, boiled briefly - 8 pieces
  • Garlic, fried briefly - 4 cloves
  • Terasi bakar - 1/2 tsp
  • Kencur - 3 cm
  • Supplementary material:
  • Fried onion - to taste
  • Shrimp crackers - to taste
  • Boiled eggs - to taste

Step
  1. Make vegetables
  2. Peel vegetables such as potatoes and carrots. Wash all the vegetables.
  3. Cut potatoes and carrots with medium dice. Crude slices of cabbage.
  4. Cut the long beans.
  5. Heat enough water in a pan to boil.
  6. Take a little boiling water and then brewed toge. Drain and set aside.
  7. Boil potatoes, carrots, cabbage, and long beans in boiling water until cooked. Remove and drain, then set aside.

  1. Puree 1 clove of garlic and salt. Add a little water. Soak the tempe and tofu into it. Fry in hot oil. Remove and drain, then cut into medium dice. Set aside.
  2. Cut lontong with medium dice. Set aside.

Make peanut sauce
  1. Wash peanuts. Fry in hot oil. Remove and drain, then leave to cool. Milled peanuts using a blender until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Dissolve Javanese acid with 3 tbsp of hot water. Filter and take the water. Set aside.
  3. Heat oil, stir-fry the spices and orange leaves until fragrant.
  4. Enter the peanut mill, stir well.
  5. Enter the coconut milk, brown sugar, sweet soy sauce, and salt. Stir well and cook until boiling.
  6. Enter the tamarind water, mix well.
  7. Cook until the sauce thickens and the correction tastes.
  8. Lift and set aside.

Presentation
  1. Decorate on a plate of lontong pieces, potatoes, tofu, tempe, and all vegetables. Give boiled eggs split into parts.
  2. Pour peanut sauce according to taste.

Tips
  • Do not be too long to boil vegetables, especially cabbage and long beans so that the texture is still felt.
